The IEEE SB RKGIT organized LFR 2.0, a two-day workshop and competition on 18–19 October 2024, engaging over 250 students in robotics and automation. Day one focused on circuit design, sensor integration, and algorithm development, with expert-led hands-on sessions. Day two featured a competition where students tested their robots on a designed track. Judged on speed, accuracy, and innovation, trophies and prizes were awarded to the top teams. The event was well-received and encouraged deeper interest in robotics among students.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a workshop on “Backend Application Development using Spring Boot” in association with Yukti Software. The event took place on 6th December 2024 in B-Block Basement, Lab No. BB-02. The resource person for the session was Mrs. Manisha Kumari, Founder of Yukti Software, with over 10 years of IT experience. She holds an M. Tech degree from NIT Calicut (2011) and has expertise in Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DBMS, and Digital Ocean. The other resource person was Mr. Mithilesh Kumar, also a Founder at Yukti Software, with over 13 years of IT experience. He completed his B. Tech from NIT Patna (2009) and is an Oracle Certified Professional as well as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect. The objective of the workshop was to equip students with hands-on experience in backend application development. A total of 45 students participated in this workshop.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, RKGIT, organized a workshop titled "Decode Real Cyber Crimes" on 15th May 2025, featuring Mr. Vivek Gautam, Cyber Security Consultant at NS3EDU, Gurgaon. Attended by 182 second-year students, the session focused on real-world cybercrime case studies, modern hacking techniques, and preventive strategies. The interactive event encouraged student engagement and highlighted career opportunities in cybersecurity. Faculty dignitaries graced the occasion, and the event concluded with positive feedback from participants, praising its practical relevance. Special appreciation was given to Asst. Prof. Varsha Tyagi for organizing the successful and insightful workshop.
Celebrating the culmination of a transformative 21-day Netcamp workshop, where Mr. Santu Purkait imparted invaluable knowledge on ethical hacking, app development, and networking, turning students into skilled professionals. Certificate distribution marks the beginning of a new chapter in their tech journey.
On the 24th and 25th of January, RKGIT's Department of Computer Science & Engineering hosted a hands-on workshop on mobile app development. The speaker, Mr. Sameer Srivastava, leads students to create their own applications. This was a fantastic opportunity for CSE students to learn from him.
