IEEE Day: Expert Talk
On 09 October 2024, the IEEE Student Branch at RKGIT hosted an Expert Talk to celebrate IEEE Day, featuring Mr. Jay Shah, Executive Member, IEEE UP Section. The session, attended by over 200 students, focused on emerging technologies, professional growth, and IEEE's role in shaping engineering futures. It included real-world insights, an interactive Q&A, and concluded with the presentation of a memento to the speaker and prizes for IEEE Day competition winners, followed by a formal vote of thanks.
ThinkTank Trivia
The IEEE Student Branch at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad, organized an offline quiz competition titled "ThinkTank Trivia" on 08 April 2024, engaging 52 B.Tech students. The event aimed to test participants’ general knowledge, technical aptitude, and logical reasoning through multiple competitive rounds, including a Rapid-Fire segment. The quiz commenced with an inaugural session, and top performers were awarded certificates and prizes. Appreciated for its engaging format, the event boosted participants' confidence and concluded with a vote of thanks by the coordinators.
Reeloever 2.0
The IEEE SB RKGIT hosted Reeloever 2.0, a videography competition held on 03 May 2024, aimed at enhancing creativity, storytelling, and video editing skills among 20 B. Tech students. Participants submitted short videos on themes like innovation, student life, and technology. Judging criteria included creativity, editing quality, content impact, and originality. The best entries were awarded prizes and certificates. The event provided a platform for students to express their creative ideas, earning appreciation from faculty and guests who encouraged them to further explore their talents.
IEEE Day: Samvad Satra
On IEEE Day, the IEEE Student Branch at RKGIT organized Samvad Satra, a Group Discussion Competition on 07 October 2024, involving 50 students. The event aimed to boost critical thinking, communication, and confidence. Discussions were conducted in both Hindi and English on themes like technology, innovation, and ethics. Faculty moderated the rounds as students showcased their reasoning skills. The event concluded with the awarding of trophies and exciting prizes to the winners, receiving praise for its interactive and enriching discussions.
