Guest Lecture on “Cyber Security Trends and Research Scope”

Department of Computer Science, RKGIT Ghaziabad organized an insightful Guest Lecture on “Cyber Security Trends and Research Scope” on 8th October 2025 at Atal Sabhagar, H-Block. The session was delivered by Prof. A. K. Mohapatra, Professor and Head, Department of Information Technology, Indira Gandhi Technical University for Women. The lecture highlighted the latest advancements, challenges, and emerging research opportunities in the field of Cyber Security. Prof. Mohapatra provided deep insights into modern cyber threats, data protection strategies, cryptography, ethical hacking, and the growing importance of cybersecurity awareness in today’s digital landscape. Through real-world examples and case studies, participants were able to bridge theoretical concepts with practical applications, enriching their understanding of the subject. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Veena Bharti and Mr. Ravi Shanker Pathak, under the guidance of Dr. Sachin Goel, Head of Department (CS).
