Cloud Computing

Centre for Cloud Technologies (CCT)

1.Introdution

  • Centre for Cloud Technologies (CCT) RKGIT established Center for Cloud Technologies (CCT) in 2013-14. CCT is a multipurpose facility that functions as a catalyst for the development and growth of those students and faculty desirous to work on virtualization, cloud computing, Big Data and Internet of Things (IoT). CCT also provides a work space with computing and printing facility for R&D and Academic projects. Industry mentors are also available to provide advice in planning, development and testing of these projects. An in-house support team also provides assistance for completion of these projects and R&D.

  • In Last four years CCT trained 500+ students on Cloud computing, Big Data and Internet of Things (IoT). completed many cloud Based projects, research papers, M.Tech thesis and also collaborated many leading Industries for resources and funding on various emerging technologies like Cloud Computing, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT) etc. “With rapidly developing IT and allied Industries, Skill enhancement is the need of today and we at RKGIT understand it very well- Students do not need just degree; moreover they need special skill sets to intensify their career growth.”

  • Our Goal: To connect students' education plan with their career plan, and developing student’s skill-sets with futuristic market requirements.
2. About the CCT team

He is B.Tech (CSE) and M. Tech (IT) with 2 years industry experience. He is in RKGIT since 2007. He has two certifications from VMware Inc., California (USA) - VMware Certified Associate – Cloud (VCA-CLOUD) and VMware Certified Associate – Cloud Management and Automation (VCA-CMA). He has also done a short term course on IoT at IIT Kharagpur. He is working on Cloud Computing, Big Data and IoT from past 4+ years. Students of B.Tech final year (CSE) successfully created a prototype of a Private cloud Infrastructure (using VMware) at RKGIT Campus under his guidance. He leads Amazon Web Services (AWS) based application development and successfully deployed learning managements system (rkgitlms.com) in RKGIT. He has also trained number of engineering students on emerging technologies (cloud computing, Big Data, AWS cloud, VMware cloud etc.) through various seminars and workshops.
